Aspen Ridge Retirement Village, a Priority Life Care community, is proud to celebrate the First Annual Validation Week, August 17–23.

The community joins Priority Life Care communities across the country in recognizing the importance of compassion, connection, and person-centered dementia care.

Held in partnership with the Validation Training Institute, this inaugural celebration is centered around the theme “Meet Me Where I Am.” Validation Week reminds caregivers, families, and community members that meaningful connection begins by listening, understanding, validating feelings, and meeting each person where they are in their journey.

Throughout the week, Aspen Ridge Retirement Village will host activities that celebrate residents’ life stories while helping families and community members learn about the power of Validation.

At Priority Life Care, Validation is an important part of the Along the Journey dementia care philosophy. This approach focuses on building relationships, honoring each resident’s experiences, and creating moments of trust, comfort, and connection.
